July 11 - Lisa's Musings on (road kill) and Every Day Life
My Sunday began later than normal with Driver deciding to let me sleep until 8 a.m. for a change.
Good dog.
If it were up to Ryan, we'd sleep late every morning but not Driver, he's my face-licking alarm clock. Ready to face the fun of a new day as early as possible. Usually somewhere around 6:30 a.m. That's even if I've been at a council meeting the night before and didn't get to sleep until after 1 a.m. or later.
My guess is that he was a bit tired from all the excitement of the dog show yesterday. That and the 90-plus degree heat.
Or perhaps because he couldn't wait to play with his new road kill toy. I bought two -- one for Ryan and one for Driver. Then let them duke it out for the raccoon or the possum.
As you can see, Driver chose the possum and was so proud of himself this morning, I couldn't help but take photos of his "kill."
The great thing about these toys is that when Ryan rips them up to get to the squeaker inside, no stuffing all over the living room floor to pick up.
So here's to road kill toys -- just as fun, but not as messy or smelly as the real deal.
