Historic Walking Tours at Forest Hill Cemetery
I just got back from participating in the Forest Hill Cemetery walk hosted by Wystan Stevens. I had never heard about these before this year, but my research found they've been going on for more than 30 years. Mr. Stevens relocated to live closer to his daughter last year and it was feared that 2009 would be the end to these historic tours.
Thankfully, he was able to return and host the tours again this year. Unfortunately, it didn't seem too many had heard the news because the turnout on Halloween day seemed a bit low. But he will be hosting two more walking tours - Nov. 7 and 14 at 2 p.m., so if you've been interested but haven't found the time, this might be your last chance. I didn't hear any mention of whether or not he will be returning the years to come, so head out before you miss the opportunity.

Thanks for the mention, Jodie. The tour on next Sunday afternoon, November 14, will be the last one of 2010 -- and it may very well be my last Ann Arbor tour, ever. Anyone who reads this is welcome to turn up and join me for the guided stroll, at 2:00 p.m. Adults, $10.00, children free with an adult.
