Commencement begins
11:30 a.m. Michigan Stadium
The U of M graduation ceremony is underway. The president, Gov. Granholm and the U of M faculty and staff have taken the stage.
Senior Alex Martinson is addressing the graduates.
"As a nation, we have found changes can bring us together but they can also tear us apart," Martinson said.
"Today we must re-examine our views on change and realize with change comes opportunity."
"With what we've obtained from the University of Michigan, we will become the doctors and lawyers of our generation. We must embrace change and follow the graduates of of U of M who have achieved so much."
